I.1 This course was written for the mind—but only to move the mindto appeal to the heart. To move it to listen. To move it to accept confusion. To move it to cease its resistance to mystery, its questfor answers, and to shiftits focus to thetruth and away from what can be learned only by the mind.

　　1.1 这门课程是为思想而写的，但目的是把思想转到心。让思想去倾听。让思想接受困惑。让思想停止抵抗神秘，停止追求解答，把注意力转到真相上，离开那些通过思想才能学到的东西。

　　I.2 What is learned by the mind only rearranges reality. The mind then holds to the new realityas a new set of rules withoutchange. It sees reality throughthese new mental constructs and callsthis way of seeing new. In order tosupport its new reality it must insist thatothers follow these new rules. Truth,it says, has been found, and it is “here”in these new rules and not in those of old. Themind will then tell you how to feel accordingto its rules and will resist all ways of feeling, all ways of being, that appear to run counter to theserules, as if it knows, because of these rules,how things are.

　　I.2 大脑的思想只能用它所学到东西来重新组合现实。然后，把思想中组合后的现实视为一套新的规则。并用思想上建构的这套新规则去看待现实，并称看见了不同。为了支持自己眼中的新的现实，它必须坚持其他人也遵循这些新规则。它说，真相已经被发现了，真相就在这些新规则中，而不是在那些旧规则中。然后，思想会告诉你如何按照它的规则去感觉（感受），而事实上却在抵触各种的感觉（感受）、各种的存在(being)，因为感觉（感受）和存在（being）似乎与这些规则背道而驰——好像思想知道按照规则事情应该如何。

　　I.3 The mind will speakof love and yet hold the heartprisoner to its new rules, new laws, andstill say “this is right” and “this is wrong.” It will speak of love and not see its intolerance or judgment. It will speak oflove to be helpful and with all sincerity, and yet the very logic that it uses,though new, wounds the heartof the most tender, of those mostcalled to love and its sweetness. “I am wrong to feel the way I do” the tender-heartedsays to herselfand, convinced that another knowswhat she does not, covers-over her tenderness with protection.

　　思想会谈论爱，却把心囚禁在它的新规新法之下，仍然会说“这是对的”和“这是错的”。思想会谈论爱，却看不到自己的不包容和评判。它会说爱是有益的，是真诚的，然而它所使用的逻辑，尽管是新的，却伤害了最温柔的人、最需要爱的人的心和它的甜蜜。“我的感觉是错误的，”温柔的心对自己说，并深信别人知道她所不知道的，用保护掩盖她的温柔。

　　I.4 You think that inorder to share you must be able to speak the same language andso you regress to the language of the mind with its precision. The mind sohates to be confused, to be open,to remain open,and to not know. It desires anchorsto hold it in one spot, and held there suffersthe pounding of the sea of change, resiststhe current, fortifiesitself against the storm. The mind will return always to where it feels safe and sure of itself and so it goes nowhere andsees not transformation, or creation, or the new horizon that would defy itsreality.

　　你认为为了分享，你必须能说同样的语言，因此你回归到精确的思想的语言。思想如此讨厌被困惑、开放、保持开放和不知道。它渴望锚把它固定在一个地方，并在那里承受着变化之海的冲击，抵抗水流，加强自身抵御风暴。思想总是会回到它感到安全和自信的地方，因此它不会去任何地方，也看不到转变，或创造，或无视现实的新视野。

　　I.5 The mind cannot hold open the doors of the heart and yet weturn within, turnto the mind, and show it where its opennesslies, where sweetnessabides, where love’s knowingis found. All the mind can do is rearrangereality and hold it still and captive and rule bound. The laws of loveare not laws such as these. The laws of loveare not rules, facts, or right answers. The laws of love bring spiritual freedom,the freedom that lies beyond belief, beyond thought,beyond adherence to any authority other than one’s own heart.

　　思想无法敞开心的各扇门，然而我们仍转向内在，来到思想，向它展示它的开放在哪里，甜蜜在哪里，爱的知道在哪里。思想所能做的就是重新安排现实，让它静止不动，被规则制约和束缚。爱的法则不是这样的法则。爱的法则不是规则、事实或正确答案。爱的法则带来精神上的自由，这种自由超越了信念，超越了思想，超越了对自己内心以外任何权威的信奉。

　　I.6 The heart is needed to guide the mind in a way that it does not desire to be guided, a way that is one of joining,a way that does not allow the mind’s separatestance, its rules, or its right answers. Theheart is needed because it is who and where you are and responds in love towhat is one with it. We are oneheart.

　　需要用心以一种思想不喜欢的方式去指导思想，一种联合一体的方式，一种不允许思想的独立的立场、规则或正确答案的方式。心是需要的，因为心是你、是你的所在，并向与它一体的事物在回应爱。我们是同一个心。

　　I.7 Weare one mind. The route to oneness and union, to life in form that accepts oneness and union, to a humanity restored to wholeness, isthrough the heart of the mind.

　　我们是一个思想。通往连接一体的道路，通往接受一体与联合的生命形体，通往恢复到整体的人，是通过思想的心。

　　I.8 This Course will seem remedial to some, easy to some, complexto some. The mind may say, “Yes, yes, I know. Tell me something Idon’t know.” The mind may reel at contradictions, cling to knowntruths, compare this wisdom to other wisdom.The mind will attempt to understand with its own logic and fight the logic of the heart.The mind will seek new rules and perhaps be willingto rearrange its reality once again.

　　这本课程对一部分人来说似乎是一种修正，对一部分人来说好像很容易，而对其他人来说则好像是复杂的。思想可能会说，“是的，是的，我知道。告诉我一些我不知道的”。思想会对与其不同的观念感到心烦意乱，思想会渴求真相，不停地把这个道理与另一个道理做对比。思想会试图用它自己的逻辑去理解，并与心的逻辑抗争。思想将寻求新的规则，也许愿意再次重新组合它的现实。

　　I.9 The mind is its own reality. You cannotescape the mind’s realitywith the mind. You cannot learn how to escape the realityof the mind with the mind’s pattern of learning or of logic. You cannot live in a new and fresh world andretain the mind’s reality.

　　思想是它自己的世界本身，而你无法用思想跳出思想的现实世界。你无法用思想学习或推理的模式去学习如何逃出思想的世界。你若想生活在一个崭新的世界中，就无法保留思想的世界。

　　I.10 There is no “everyone” to whom I speak, to whom I give thesewords. There is no single, no solitary, no separatemind to whom these words are spoken. Thesewords are spoken heart to heart, from One Heart to One Heart.

　　1.10 我在这里所讲的话并不是对“每个人”而说的。这些话不是对单独的个人、独立的人或一个独自的思想所说。这些话是从心对心所讲，从整体的心对整体的心而说。

　　I.11 “Everyone” is just a concept. Thesewords are givento each One. They are heard only byeach “alone” by which I mean in the sanctity of the One Heart. We are one heart. We are one mind. Joined in wholeheartedness we are the heaven of the world.We replace bitterness with sweetness. We dwellin the reality of the One Heart, creation’s birthplace, birthplace of the new.

　　1.11“每个人”只是一个概念。这些话是给所有人的。它们只被每一个“单独个人”听到，我指的是在一个心的圣洁中。我们是同一个心。我们是同一个思想。加入一体心之中，我们就在天堂的世界里。我们用甜代替苦。我们居住在同一个心的现实中，创造的诞生地，崭新景象的诞生地。

　　I.12 The new is not that which has always existed. It is not that which can be predicted. It is not that which can be formed and held inviolate. The new is creation’s unfolding love. The new is love’s expression. The new is the true replacement of the false, illusion’s demise, joy birthed amongstsorrow. The new is yet to be created,One Heart to One Heart.
